Blog-tember: Day 1

Sept 1st: Imagine the front sleeve of a hard cover novel. Give us your "About the Author" so we can get to know one another, and for fun tell us what your imaginary novel would be about.

This is tuff simply because who I am could never fit on the sleeve of a novel. I am comprised of a lifetime of joys and sorrows, laughter and tears, stretching and growing. Who I was five years ago, is not who I am today. Praise God, right? I am so thankful that our life is a process and not comprised of a single paragraph labeled "About the Author".

In fact, our life is written by THEE author and is a fascinating true life series. Sometimes we yawn through the chapters of our life, while other times we sit on the edge of our seats. It's a romance, adventure, and a mystery novel wrapped into one. It's way more interesting than any fictional novel I've ever read.

Yet, I digress. I will do as requested:

I am a native Nebraskan, living in Houston, Texas. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for seven amazing years. We have been blessed with two precious children who are the ages of four and three. My current job is raising my two babies. It's not an easy job but it is so worthwhile.
The greatest joy and passion, in my life, is my relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my lifeline; my all in all. I am nothing without him. I pray that my life (and these blog posts) constantly point to him and brings him praise.

So the promt asks what my imaginary novel would be about. Honestly, I have never wanted to write a novel, but there was a time I wanted to write a children's book. I even had a name for it :) Ready for it? Here it is....
           "The Firefly Fiesta"
I'm not really interested in writing a children's book anymore, but I think writing a book would be a great adventure. Maybe someday.
